Lid Child, the chief protagonist of A Hat in Fourth dimension, is a human-like alien attempting to collect the scattered Fourth dimension Pieces, the fuel for her spaceship, so she tin can return abode. She is also the first playable character, the other being Bow Kid for co-op mode.

In all respects, Hat Child looks like a small human child. The only possible difference between her alien species and normal humans is the presence of bones in her ponytail when the C.A.Westward Agents take an X-ray photo of her. While not officially canon, speculation (using the meters shown in the food level from the "Seal the Bargain" DLC) says her possible summit could be 2'3. She has brown hair and blue eyes. She wears a big, majestic shirt with a brilliant yellowish cape sporting a big zipper, also equally white pants and brown boots. She also wears a variety of hats, her favorite of which is a large, purple peak hat with a yellow stripe, likewise known every bit the "Child'southward Hat".

Personality

Hat Kid is shown to have an energetic and childlike personality. This is mainly shown through the innocent nature of her vocalization lines and idle animations. Abilities

While Hat Kid's motility puddle is relatively small compared to other platforming games, it is a highly versatile one that allows her to chain together many moves and accomplish most areas with relative ease and style!

Jumping

Past pressing the jump push, Hat Kid will jump into the air. Pressing it over again while airborne volition perform a 2d jump. While this is a bones ability in most platformers, jumping and double jumping is the foundation to Hat Kid's impressive platforming skills.

Dive

Wall run and jump

Excluding the Dart Hat, all of these abilities volition need time to recharge later on being used.

Badges

Hat Kid can discover several badges on her quest that give her unique secondary abilities, such as saving herself from a peachy fall or lowering the recharge time on chapeau abilities.   • According to her diary, Hat Kid does not similar singing.
  • Her "smug dance" is a reference to a dance Bob can do from Animal Crossing, with the cat smiling to friction match.
  • The text "Nobody is around to assistance." on the bottom of the Peace and Tranquility screen in Expiry Wish Way is also a reference. A song that is the New Leaf theme with lyrics provided with an image of Bob smug dancing. This is a multilayered reference, referencing Pocket Camp.
  • Development info:
